For DOS modules:

• any Descent-capable computer should do it
• DOS modules can be run on plain DOS but also on most operating systems that have DOS task support: This includes Windows 3.x, 95, NT as well as OS/2 and Linux. However please note, that I didn't test the modules under all operating systems, so if you have problems under a multitasking environment, try running it in plain DOS first, before eMailing me!
• enough hard disk space for the module plus some swapping space
• a valid set TEMP variable on a drive that has at least 1 MB free
• Descent Version Manager properly installed and at least once run (DVM is available with every module)

For Win32 modules:

• Windows 95 or higher OR Windows NT 3.51 or higher (Win32s is not supported!)
• 8 MB RAM (Windows NT: 16 MB RAM)
• enough hard disk space for the module plus some swapping space
• (Most modules) DLLPAK properly installed
• (Most modules) Descent Version Manager properly installed and at least once run (DVM is available with every module)
• For the best results I recommend using the following configuration: Windows NT 4, 32 MB RAM (or more), 65536 colors (or more) display

Download the files you need. Win32 modules need to have the DLLPAK at least one time installed, before you can run them. See notes below a module download.

Although I hope there are not too many bugs, please send me a mail, when you find any, describing them as detailed as possible! But please read the README.TXT first and go to the module page first to look if the bug is known and perhaps already fixed with a newer version. I am also opened for comments and constructive criticism. Send to:

You may distribute all files that are listed below as long as you don't change anything. You may put the complete EXE file (not the contents!) in a ZIP archive, however this is highly unrecommended and also quite unprofessional, as it already is packed by a better packer (RAR) and makes the installation user-unfriendlier and more complex!

If you put any of the modules on your web page, please drop me a mail. You can then achieve the status of an official mirror site and you will automatically be notified when a new module or a new version of a module is out! You will also be listed on my links page as an official mirror site and you can spread this title around on the page, in eMails and newsgroup postings.

If you want to put a link to the Descent Manager site, please always link to the main page: http://www.descent2.com/descman or a specific module page, never link to this download page (else the people would miss important informations and my mail-box will get more mails with unnecessary questions :( )!

The files available here are created on best knowledge and I try to keep bugs at a minimum. However there is no guarantee for anything, handle it with care and make a backup copy of your important files, before you open them with any of these tools. Especially note, that these files are beta-software!

Several of the application need DLLPAK installed. Please download and install the DLLPAK for the tool(s) of your choice.
Important: V2.0 does NOT superceed V1.1! If you want to use modules, that need V1.1 and V2.0, you need to install both (the order in which you install them does not matter)!
