The Command List

Following is a list of all the Polytron32 menu commands.

The File Menu

 

Menu Command Shortcut Command Command Description
New Starts a new robot with one point at the origin.
Open Opens an existing POL file for editing.
Save (Quick) [Ctrl-Q] Saves the file.
Save As [F12] Save the file with a new name.
Preview in PMview [F11] Saves file and opens it in PMview
Exit Exits the program.

 

The Edit Menu

 

Menu Command Shortcut Command Command Description
Insert Polygon [Shift-Ins] Inserts a polygon on the marked points.
Delete Polygon [Shift-Del] Deletes all marked polygons.
Insert Point [Ins] [Shift-Nmpd 0] Inserts a new marked point at the origin.
Delete Points [Del] [Shift-Nmpd'.'] Deletes all unattached marked points.
Copy Mark Points [Ctrl-C] Copies all marked points to the clipboard.
Copy Polygons and Points [Ctrl-G Copies all marked polygons and points the the clipboard.
Mirror Paste - Mirror X [Ctrl-X] Mirrors the point/polygon content of the clipboard at the opposite side in the X plane from the current points location.
Mirror Paste - Mirror Y [Ctrl-Y] Mirrors the point/polygon content of the clipboard at the opposite side in the Y plane from the current points location.
Mirror Paste - Mirror Z [Ctrl-Z] Mirrors the point/polygon content of the clipboard at the opposite side in the Z plane from the current points location.
Normal Paste - Offset [Ctrl-T Pastes the point/polygon content of the clipboard at a preset offset from the current point.
Normal Paste - At the Origin [Ctrl-D] Pastes the point/polygon content of the clipboard at the origin.
Move - Decrease X Moves in the negative X direction.
Move - Decrease Y Moves in the negative Y direction.
Move - Decrease Z Moves in the negative Z direction.
Move - Increase X Moves in the positive X direction.
Move - Increase Y Moves in the positive Y direction.
Move - Increase Z Moves in the positive Z direction.

 

The View Menu

 

Menu Command Shortcut Command Command Description
Unhide All Polygons [Ctrl-F1] Unhides all hidden polygons.
Darken Marked Polygons [Ctrl-F2] ** I don't know if this works properly. Marked polygons are dark to begin with.
Hide Marked Polygons [Ctrl-F3] Hides all marked polygons from the 2d views. Useful for uncluttering the displays.
Unhide All Points [Ctrl-F4] Unhides all hidden points.
Hide Marked Points [Ctrl-F5] Hides all marked points from the 2d views. Useful for uncluttering the displays.
ZY View F5 Opens the ZY View if it has been closed.
XY View F6 Opens the XY View if it has been closed.
XZ View F7 Opens the XZ View if it has been closed.
Isometric View F8 Opens the Isometric View if it has been closed.
Texture Alignment View F9 Opens the Texture Display view.  For use with the texture alignment dialog.
Options & Configuration F2 Opens the Options and Configurations dialog.
SingleView F3 Switches to SingleView Mode.
QuadView F4 Switches to QuadView Mode.

 

The Mark/UnMark Menu

 

Menu Command Shortcut Command Command Description
Mark/Unmark Current Point [SPACE] [V] Toggles the current point to either marked or unmarked.
Mark/Unmark Current Polygons' Points [Ctrl-V] Toggles the current polygons' points to either marked or unmarked.
Mark/Unmark 'Marked' Polygon's Points [Ctrl-Shift-V] Toggles the marked polygons' points to either marked or unmarked.
Mark/Unmark All Points [Shift-V] Toggles all points to either marked or unmarked.
Mark/Unmark Current Polygon [N] Toggles the current polygon to either marked or unmarked.
Mark/Unmark Current Points' Polygons [Ctrl-N] Toggles the current points' polygons to either marked or unmarked.
Mark/Unmark 'Marked' Points Polygons [Ctrl-Shift-N] Toggles the marked points' polygons to either marked or unmarked.
Mark/Unmark All Polygons [Shift-N] Toggles all polygons to either marked or unmarked.
Mark Submodels Points [Ctrl-J Marks a submodels points.
Mark Submodels Polygons [Ctrl-B] Marks a submodels polygons.
UnMark Cur Submodel Points UnMarks the current submodels points.
UnMark Cur Submodel Polygons UnMarks the current submodels points.

 

The Polygon Menu

 

Menu Command Shortcut Command Command Description
Select Textures [Ctrl-A] Opens the Select Textures Tool.
Texture Mapping [Ctrl-M] Opens the Texture Mapping Tool.
Place Point In Plane [Ctrl-P] Places the current point in a plane defined by three marked points.
Reset Marked Texture [Ctrl-E] Resets the texture alignment to default settings.
Rearrange 4-sided [Ctrl-R] Re-arranges a crossed 4-sided polygon.
Polygon Normal Flip [Ctrl-F] Flips the current polygons normal.

 

The Model Menu

 

Menu Command Shortcut Command Command Description
Put Points In Submodel Places all marked points in the current submodel or a new submodel.
Check and Compress Submodels [Ctrl-O] Checks for points shared illegally between submodels and arranges the data in the POL file.
Halve Model Size [Shift-Ctrl-F1] Makes the entire model half its current size.
Double Model Size [Shift-Ctrl-F2] Makes the entire model twice its current size.
Triple Model Size [Shift-Ctrl-F3] Makes the entire model triple its current size.
Center Model [Shift-Ctrl-F4] Centers the model on 0,0,0 Coordinates.

 

The Help Menu

Guide-Bot Help F1 Not Yet Implemented.
Manual... Opens this manual.
Internet Opens the web browser to go to Polytron related web sites
