What is the 'Y' cable ? The 'Y' cable is a simple cable that
allows a user/player
to retain the use of his Thrustmaster compatible HatStick (Thrustmaster,
Wingman Extreme,
Sidewinder Pro in analog Mode 2, etc) when used in combonation with a CH
Products
Throttle or ProThrottle.
What is the 'MacroBox' ? The 'MacroBox' is a simple circuit
that can be built and housed in a
project box. It allows users of the CH Pro Throttle to add eight(8) more
programable buttons
assuming they are using the 'Y' cable described above. Four(4) of the buttons
are fully
programmable, and four(4) others are limited to macro keys only (due to
the Pro Throttle).
I used this as a way to allow myself eight(8) different multiplayer
taunt macros, rather than
being limited to the four(4) the game allows.
Basic description, information and schematic of a common analog
Joystick with
an analog HatStick. Such as a Thrustmaster Mark IV, or a Wingman Extreme.
This is also the type of Joystick EMULATED by a Wingman Extreme Digital
(in analog mode) or a Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro (in analog mode 2).
Also a basic description of the CH products joysticks, this is the type
EMULATED
by a Microsoft Sidewinder 3d Pro (in analog mode 1). This section DOES NOT
cover digital/microprocessor based units such as the Microsoft 3dPro, Wingman
Extreme Digital or high end sticks that inteface with the keyboard port.
